Special Senior Center "Gentle" class rate:
$5 per class ages 55-64 (payable monthly)
$3 per class ages 65 and up (payable monthly)

 

If you are registered for a weekly class on a monthly basis, any missed classes can be "made-up" during the course of that same month, with any other class at either location. Rolling over ONE class into the next month is accepted, as long as the new month is paid in full. We regret that fees for missed classes cannot be applied towards a new month or other services. 

 CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Gentle Yoga: A gentle series of yoga stretches and postures designed specifically with seniors in mind. Also great for those recovering from recent injury or illness or with physical restrictions due to certain medical conditions. Chairs are used as props for support.

Yoga Basics: Classical yoga postures are explored in a way that makes them accessible to beginners as well as those with some experience. Appropriate modifications offered for all.

Basics and Beyond: These classes are formatted to serve a range of students, from the experienced beginner to more advanced practitioner. Variations of standing, flowing and floor postures are offered to suit students of mixed abilities.  

Power Yoga: This challenging class consists of a challenging flow of postures that will kick up your heart rate and make you sweat. Recommended for advanced beginner to intermediate level students. Taught with up-beat music and a light-hearted approach. Come join the fun! 

Karma Yoga: This donation-based class is held on the first Sunday of every month. All collections are shared with local charities or worthy causes that will be announced each month. This meditative-style class is taught with a rotating roster of teachers. Come enrich your yoga experience and give back to your community!

Pilates: This system of exercise strengthens the body's center of movement and support - the deep core muscles of the abdominals. Taking the time to learn the essence of each movement and adhering to a routine promotes healthy posture and peak musculoskeletal fitness. Enjoy an improved overall sense of well-being with the pracitce of Pilates! 

Please arrive early for your very first class in order to have time to fill out paperwork and get familiar with the surroundings.
