CLASS DESCRIPTIONS Please arrive early for your very first class in order to have time to fill out paperwork and get familiar with the surroundings.
Gentle Yoga: A gentle series of yoga stretches and postures designed specifically with seniors in mind. Also great for those recovering from recent injury or illness or with physical restrictions due to certain medical conditions (including pre/post-natal!). Also appropriate for pre/post-natal practice. Chairs are used as props for support.
Yoga Basics: Classical yoga postures are explored in a way that makes them accessible to beginners as well as those with some experience. Appropriate modifications offered for all.
Basics and Beyond: These classes are formatted to serve a range of students, from the experienced beginner to more advanced practitioner. Variations of standing, flowing and floor postures are offered to suit students of mixed abilities.
Yoga4Joy(ful)Kids!: These classes include music, crafts, books and playful yoga poses to enhance your child’s language development, motor coordination and play skills. Theme activities, storytelling, music and art will engage your maturing child’s natural energy and enthusiasm. Cooperative games will inspire independence and positive peer interactions. As well, we’ll learn some calming breathing exercises and imaginative relaxation techniques.
